REPOST:Sweet Little Sisters… I Thank the Lord for Them

Something was wrong with my pictures when i posted this last, so i had to fix it ! Hope it works better for everyone now!

I prayed for many years for a sister, and the Lord gave me above what I could ask or think... He gave me THREE! Bethany, Brigitta & Bellhannah. I love them and am enjoying watching them grow and develop. These pics were taken this morning:

Beth was cutting up strawberries to eat on our pancakes... Gitta & Bell were cheering her on with admiring eyes and comments! :) They were taken with my phone so sorry about the poor quality... I think I'll invest in a camera soon.

These next photos are of Bellhannah. She is posing in a new dress I finished this afternoon! I have plans to make the other girls, my mother and I matching ones! (sorry about the poor quality again)

The hallway was a little dark... but the other kids were watching something in the living room, so this is what happened when I tried to take a picture in there...

Ha! Ha! HA! : D

posing in the kitchen.

She is a great encourager... she told me over & over again, how much she loved me! I'm glad she liked it.

I had to end with a picture of her little piggys peeking out from under the hem... she wouldn't stop squishing her feet against the floor... maybe her feet were nervous. :)
Hope you enjoy these!

Again, I want to reiterate how grateful I am to the Most High God in heaven for His infinite mercy shown to me in the gift of my beautiful little sisters! I pray that each would grow into a godly women and serve Him faithfully all their days!

Cute little Sister... Learning Manners!

My mom told me this little story about Bellhannah... Yes these funny things occur with her quite frequently. :)...

Bellhannah:  “I want some water”
Mom:            “May I have a cup for water, please.”
Bellhannah:  “Yes, you may.”
Mom:             (a little minion like) “What?”

I just had to post this!

Christian Religion is a Religion of Great Hope!

Yesterday morning’s sermon was on Romans 8:24,25 “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth why doeth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience hope for it.”
With only ¼ of the knowledge and understanding of verses 21-23,we should NEVER be cast down or discouraged… EVEN MORE SO because God added on 24 & 25! We have a promise that we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ! That is our hope! What more could we ask of think?
If the only hope we have is in/on this world, then our religion is vain, and our lives miserable. “ If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” 1 Corinthians 15:19 Take away the hope of our religion, and it is worthless. BUT, praise the Lord, this is NOT the case! We hope for a new body and a home in heaven…
We should never forget heaven! We as brothers and sisters should constantly remind each other of what is to come, so that we will be consoled in our light afflictions here on earth with that glorious hope, until the day of His appearing! It is called an eternal weight of glory! “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far mor exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things that are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:17,18
If we forget the gospel, we will not be saved by the hope of it. Our life is in vain without it. (Read Ecclesiastes) “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;…And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:1,4
Our life is hid with Christ in God! What consolation! What comfort! When you are frustrated, remember that you are a part of a heavenly body. That you have a Wonderful Father, that you have a Glorious, longsuffering Brother, and that ALL will be perfect there in that glorious home! The glory that will be revealed there, FAR exceeds any suffering in this life. “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18
The Bible tells us that those who have their hope centered on this world, have their portion in this life. When they die, this hope vanishes. We (Christians) are the only ones with EVERLASTING hope! This hope saves us from delusion, frustration, and confusion! Thank you Lord!
“For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reigns be consumed within me.” Job 19:25-27 Comfort yourselves with this hope!
Be rejoiced that you are only a stranger and a pilgrim here! If we trust and hope in the Lord, then even in this life, on this earth, we can bear fruit. “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD for he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the time of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reigns, and give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:5-7
Nothing is guaranteed in this life… Everything is guaranteed in the next, and from an Entity that can perform the promise!
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We haven’t seen heaven, but we have the evidence for it… God said it, and we believe it and have hope. Just as we didn’t see creation, but have the evidence for it… God said in the beginning He created everything, and we believe it!

Reflections on Giving Thanks...

Last night, while our church met for Bible study, I was reminded of a very important truth... That of giving thanks. Not just being thankful in our hearts, but actually voicing that thankfulness in words, out loud, for others to hear, and praise the Lord's name!

I got to thinking, how often do I give thanks to the Lord in the hearing of others? Am I being sinful by not doing so? Then it occurred to me  that indeed it is commanded of me, as a child of God, and that if I don't, I am indeed sinning!

So, I then wanted to find out all the verses that had to do with proclaiming your thanksgiving with your mouth, not just in your heart... here are a few, there are many more:

By him [Jesus] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. -Hebrews 13:15

Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. -Psalm 97:12
    - this verse even reminds us of something to give thanks for!-

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather the giving of thanks. -Ephesians 5:4
-WOW! This command to give thanks comes after a list of sins by the talking mouth... now we know what to do instead! Praise the Lord!

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. -Psalm 26:7

Giving thanks always for ALL things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. -Ephesians 5:20

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: MAKE KNOWN HIS DEEDS AMONG THE PEOPLE. -Psalm 105:1

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. -Romans 15:6

And I'll throw this verse in to show how grave a sin thanklessness is:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and there foolish heart was darkend. -Romans 1:21
-I'd encourage all to read this chapter again to get the whole picture of how terrible our sin is, even the sin of being unthankful.

SO, with this knowledge and understanding i'd like to end by saying:
I praise and thank our most glorious and omnipotent Father for His great mercy toward us. For His longsuffering and matchless grace bestowed upon us by His magnificent and almighty Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ!
