The Greatest Humility!

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Philippians 2:5-8

Jesus Christ knew that he was equal to God, and yet he was humble making himself a servant… and obeyed God, even in the requirement of his death on the cross! Thank you Lord! That really puts me to shame. Now look at his most assuredly deserved reward:

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11

  1. Philippians 2 is a wonderful chapter. I am thankful for the excellent example Christ is to us in every area of our lives, but especially humility. I know that this is an area that I struggle in, but I don't think that I am the only one. "There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man..."

I'd love to hear from you! Thank you for the time you take to read!
