17thC of Character

 

Communicative

  • Verbally open, honest, thorough, and helpful.
  • The "strong, silent type" cannot be a great saint.
  • Silence abuses your wife and children (Colossians 3:21).
  • True friends are open and transparent (John 15:15).
  • The most help you can give others is by your lips.
  • A good word fitly spoken is beautiful (Proverbs 25:11).
  • Gracious speech is what wins kings (Proverbs 22:11).
  • A good thought not expressed is worthless.
  • A good word makes a heavy heart glad (Proverbs 12:25).
  • Being thankful falls short: you must give thanks.

“ Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.”

“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”
