Envieth not

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not;"

Envy is a discontented, resentful, longing for another's possessions or qualities.

Love will not have a burning desire to equal or exceed others in an ungodly form of emulation. Instead love will be excited and rejoice at the advantages of others... The LORD is the one who makes men to differ (1 Corinthians 4:7) and blesses according to His good will and pleasure. When we envy others and resent them we are truly setting ourselves up and replying against God.

Let us get excited TODAY for others when they receive praise, when they get something new, when they get a raise at work, when they are smarter, prettier, taller, more naturally talented etc. when they receive good at the hand of the LORD, we rejoice!
