Unseemly Behavior

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly,"

Love will behave appropriately in every and all situations at all times. Unseemly behavior is the opposite.

Unseemly behavior can be actions as well as the words you speak. Gracious speech and proper behavior are what love will exude.

Love avoids offending others by unsuitable, unconventional, behavior. Love will not "speak its mind" but will speak only that which is good to the use of edifying, that which is pure, honest, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy. (remember, what flows form the mouth is a reflection of what is in one's heart... so if we think on these things {Phil. 4:8} that is what our speech will be comprised of.)

Love will conduct itself in a perfect way at all times with a pure heart. Her words will be like apples of gold in pictures of silver. (Pr. 25:11) Her neighbors will love her because she never overstays her welcome or presumes upon others. (Pr. 25:17) She will be discreet and chaste for the good of those around her. She will be a tree of life to others, for her words are always fitting and appropriate.
