What makes someone beautiful?

How much do people spend to make themselves more so?

Who do you consider to be beautiful and why?

Beauty comes from within, the same goes for ugliness.

What is inside of your heart will come out! Others will see it and either be lifted up or cast down themselves.

"A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken."
Proverbs 15:13

One's countenance is a combination of facial appearance and body language. If you are happy and joyful, your countenance will reflect that inner sunshine upon your face, in the way you carry yourself and interact with those around you! Likewise, when your heart is troubled by worry, loss, fear, trouble etc. your bearing of sadness will show. Others will be dragged down by the latter when they see your depressed appearance.

The best facial there is, is a smile! A genuine, heartfelt, delighted to be alive and serving the LORD, smile :) A happy face is a wonderful thing that will lift those around you up and set them on a joyful path just by seeing how peaceful and content your heart is by the look on your face!

How does one get such a merry heart? It is a choice, one which must be made every day. When adversity does arise, then one must take it in stride or rule one's spirit. (Pr 25:28) One may be cast down from time to time, but must never allow the destruction of one's spirit (2 Cor 4:9)

When we think of heaven and the Lord Jesus Christ, what He has done for us and has gone to prepare for us, what can possibly cast us down?! Let us remember to count our blessings and dwell on His promises to cheer our hearts.

Is there not a Cause?

  1. Amen! Thank you for the thoughts, Brytni! I've been excited to see His promises new this year as I start my Bible reading plan over! I love the two in Genesis 8 & 9! While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.(8:22) & And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. (9:11) We have a merciful and blessed LORD! There is much rejoicing and smiling to do!

  2. Amen! There is! Thank you for the comment mom :)

I'd love to hear from you! Thank you for the time you take to read!
